Posted on October 25, 2012

Copa America is coming to the United States.

CONMEBOL, South American’s governing body for soccer, said it will hold a special Copa in 2016 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of its organization.

The tournament will be held between the regularly scheduled 2015 and 2019 tournaments.

Copa will include all 10 South American teams, the United States, Mexico and four other CONCACAF countries, CONMEBOL said at a meeting of its executive committee in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Wednesday.
