Mexico moved up two spots into the 19th position in the monthly FIFA rankings that were released on Wednesday morning.
El Tri also remained their No. 1 ranking among CONCACAF teams, followed by the United States, which climbed a spot into 32nd place.
Panama, third in CONCACAF, jumped seven spots to 43rd place, followed by No. 4 Jamaica which moved up eight positions. Haiti, which is not among the 12 teams competing in the World Cup semifinal round in CONCACAF, leaped 17 spots to 60th overall and into fifth place in the confederation.
Spain remained atop the entire poll, followed by Germany, Portugal, Argentina and England. The Netherlands, Uruguay, Italy, Colombia and Greece round out the top 10.
