HOUSTON — Honduran Boniek Garcia set up the Houston Dynamo’s lone goal in its 1-1 draw with Toronto FC in Major League Soccer action on Saturday night.
Garcia received the ball at the bottom of the center circle, deked his way around a defender and sent a pass into the penalty area for Will Bruin. Bruin then split two defenders and chipped the ball over Milos Kocic to give the hosts a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute.
With time running time, however, Canadian Terry Dunfield knotted things up for Toronto. He ran to the top of the six-yard box, took a pass from Darren O’Dea and headed the ball off the underside of the crossbar and into the net.
The tie meant the Dynamo (11-6-9, 42 points) stayed in third place in the Eastern Conference while Toronto (21) moved to 5-15-6.
