Edu agrees to terms with Stoke City

U.S. international defender-midfielder Maurice Edu is going to Stoke city.

The English Premier League club said on Saturday they will sign the former Rangers midfielder after agreeing to terms.

Stoke City have confirmed they are signing Rangers midfielder Maurice Edu after agreeing terms.

Edu, 26,, will undergo a physical exam and needs a work permit before completing the transfer for an undisclosed amount.

Edu, who played a key role in the U.S.’s recent 1-0 win at Mexico, will join fellow American, Geoff Cameron, who recently joined the team arrived from the Houston Dynamo in Major League Soccer.
