No goals for Ruiz in Fulham’s 5-0 rout

Posted on August 18, 2012

LONDON — Bryan Ruiz did not join the scoring party during Fulham’s 5-0 romp past Norwich in the English Premier League season openers for both teams on Saturday.

However, the Costa Rican international midfielder certainly tried to find the back of the net.

Ruiz’s 42nd-minute free kick was saved by John Ruddy.

Fulham played without U.S. international striker Clint Dempsey, who is expected to be transferred to another team after he refused to perform for the club.
