PORTLAND, Ore. — Trinidad & Tobago international Scott Sealy found the back of the net, but FC Dallas could not hold the lead and settled for a 1-1 draw with the Portland Timbers in Major League Soccer action on Sunday.
Sealy struck in the 51st minute. David Ferreira found Brek Shea with a through ball played to the top left side of the penalty area. Shea won the race to the ball and hit a first-time pass across the face of goal to Sealy, who finished at the backpost.
Only 90 seconds later, Zach Loyd was slapped with his second yellow card of the match, leaving the visitors with 10 men for the final 39 minutes.
The draw left Dallas with 23 points and in eight place in the Western Conference, while Portland is a spot behind its rivals with 20 points.
