Mexico beats, draws Canada in U-20 friendlies

Mexico tied Canada, 1-1, in an Under-20 friendly at the Mexican Football Federation’s Centro del Alto Rendimiento on Saturday.

Jesus Corona scored for the Mexicans, while Keven Alemán equalized for the vistors.

Three days earlier, Mexico recorded a 3-0 win over Canada.

The Mexicans travel to Russia for the Lev Yashin Tournament from Thursday to Sunday. They will face Besiktas (Turkey) and Malaga (Spain).

El Tri will join the United States at the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland from July 20-25. The Mexicans are set to meet Turkey and Northern Ireland, while the U.S. will play Denmark and Chile. The semifinals are on July 25 and final on July 26.

Mexico will host the CONCACAF U-20 Championship in Februrary in Puebla.
