GUATEMALA CITY — Costa Rica will begin its attempt to earn a spot in the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship for a fifth succesive time on July 17, facing Nicaragua in the opening game of Central American qualifying.
Honduras will host Group 1 in Estadio Olimpico in San Pedro Sula and face Costa Rica on July 19, before the group finishes two days later with Honduras taking on Nicaragua.
Group 2 will begin play July 25 in Coatepeque, Guatemala. Host Guatemala will meet El Salvador and Panama will take on El Salvador on July 27 with Guatemala and Panama facing off two days.
Two from each group will qualify for the 12-team CONCACAF finals February 18-March 2 in Mexico.
