Costa Rica moved past Honduras among CONCACAF teams in the latest FIFA rankings that were released on Wednesday morning.
The Ticos accrued 550 points to climb from seventh to sixth place, while the Hondurans dropped a spot.
Mexico, which lost a 2-0 international friendly to Colombia in Miami last week, dropped a place to 22nd overall, but still led the confederation.
The United States, which moved up four spots to No. 27 in the FIFA ranking, remained second in CONCACAF, followed by Panama (50th), Jamaica (54th) and El Salvador (58th).
Of the CONCACAF teams, St. Kitts and Nevis made the greatest leap up the ladder from 117th to 109th place.
