STOKE, England — Jamaican international Ricardo Fuller, who came on as a substitute for Stoke City in its 1-0 English Premier League loss to Sunderland, could not put away his one decent scoring opportunity on Saturday.
Fuller, who replaced Cameron Jerome in the 40th minute, had his one chance in the second half. He took a shot from angle that goalkeeper Simon Mignolet caught.
James McClean struck for the lone goal of the match in the 60th minute.
Stoke was forced to play most of the match a man down after Robert Huth was given his marching orders late in the opening half.
